Koda, the dog of many nicknames (Meister, Miters, Meister Man, KodaMeister, Koda Chrome), has been a huge
asset to the PetPit household! Not only has he brought joy and love
beyond compare, with limited showing he earned his UKC Championship title at 15 months old. Although he's not overly
thrilled with conformation showing, we plan on finishing him to his Grand
champion title. **UPDATE** Today, September 27, 2008, Koda Meister received his last champion win under Honorable Judge Warren Shivers to earn his grand championship!!! Thank you Judge Shivers for making all my goals come to reality by putting up my boy today!
Koda is definitely earning his keep with his achievements in the weightpull barn!! With a little less than a year's worth of pulling under his belt, he earned both his weightpull championship, and his versatile title. He finished out the year 2007 in the #7 spot in the UKC top 25 APBTs Weightpull Allstars with mostly local pulls!! This great dog's
immense heart and willingness to please came shining through in his happy
attitude and tail wagging as he digs in and works to get that cart towards the finish
line. Of course there ARE those days where he just won't cooperate - those days find him "sitting down on the job" . . .
. . . and no amount of begging gets him to move. . . thankfully, as we continue to train under the wonderful guidance of our good friend Ebrahim, those days of sitting down on the job are becoming fewer and further apart . . .
With his soft
sensitivity and attentiveness to me, Koda does a great job working as my Service Dog. This multi-talented guy traveled to Texas in April this year, and was among the first dogs to earn the much-coveted "Total Dog" award at the UNWPA pull being held in conjuntion with the NTAPBTC conformation show by first pulling 2350lbs - being unharnessed and a show collar put on and running to the conformation ring to win his champion class twice during the 4-show weekend!!!
