Articulation!! . . .

. . . a word often heard at our house these days. Especially so since our son, Jonathan, found a love for wheelin'.
(Good thing his first car is a Jeep Cherokee - LOL)

Now - imagine you're around the corner at your parent's house when you get a call from your son asking, "Mom? How do I use the digital camera?". Knowing that you left your teenaged son and his buddies at the house, your immediate thought is, "OH NO! Now what?!?!" So you race home to find . . . THIS!!

From there, the challenges were endless. . . where most people see a stump, pile of rocks, or fallen tree Jonathan sees a chance to "articulate". Good thing Grandma & Grandpa have 30 acres of woods to accomodate his "articulation needs". *grin*

. . . He was just having way too much fun to do it alone, so the rest of us joined in the fun . . .

THEN . . . along came the mud - some SERIOUS mud . . . LOL Their soil seems to be some sort of natural clay mixture, making it almost like playing in unset plaster! It's some sticky stuff . . . .And when it sets? It's just about as hard as plaster!

Even with each tire setting up on logs, it was still tough getting the truck "unstuck"! We tried winching it out, jacking it up to fill in the mud with branches and logs . . . nothing worked . . . Grandpa had to pull it out with the dozer .. . we've appropriately named this spot "John's Mudhole"! *grin*

Even Miss Bailey got in on the fun . . . she sure likes riding in that jeep - blazing trails through the underbrush & over fallen trees - and muckin' through the mudholes!!
